Terms of Service

The rules for using this website and our services, written as simply as we could.

Effective date: November 5, 2026

Who we are

Red Tip Automation ("Red Tip", "we", "us") builds and runs AI and automation systems for local businesses, online stores and agencies. We are based in the Charleston, South Carolina area.

These terms cover two things: your use of this website, and the services we provide to clients. By using this site or our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

If you sign a separate written agreement or quote with us, that document controls where it differs from these terms.

Using this website

You may use this site to learn about our services and to contact us. Please do not:

  • try to break, overload or get around the security of the site;
  • copy large parts of the site or its demos for another business;
  • submit someone else's name or phone number in our forms without their permission.

The calculator, phone screens and call examples on this site are demos built in code. The businesses named in them are examples, not clients. Numbers in the calculator are examples you can change, not a promise of results.

Our services

Depending on what you choose, our services can include:

  • an AI receptionist and front desk for voice calls, missed-call text-back, web chat and Facebook or Instagram messages;
  • booking into your calendar or field software;
  • lead follow-up, past-customer campaigns and reminder calls to people who opted in;
  • review requests and drafted review replies;
  • a content system, AI avatar and customer-review style videos, and voice clones made with recorded consent;
  • AI search visibility, local SEO and websites;
  • back-office automation and document processing;
  • staff AI training and custom assistants;
  • Shopify store support;
  • white-label work for marketing agencies.

The exact work, timeline and price for your business are set out in the quote you accept.

Fees and billing

Most services have a one-time setup fee and a flat monthly fee. Both are stated in your quote before any work starts. You pay them on the schedule in your quote.

  • Spam does not count. Spam calls, robocalls and wrong numbers do not count against your plan.
  • No surprise overage. We tell you when you reach 80% of your plan's minutes. Nothing goes over your plan unless you approve it first.
  • Taxes. Fees do not include sales or similar taxes, if any apply.

If a payment is late, we will contact you first. If it stays unpaid, we may pause the services until it is paid.

Month-to-month and cancelling

After setup, services run month to month. There is no long-term contract. You can cancel any time by phone at (843) 633-1794 or by email at [email protected].

When you cancel, we will give you an export of your data and content and help you move your phone number within 5 business days. The setup fee pays for work already done and is not refunded.

The 30-day Front Desk pilot

New Front Desk clients can try it for 30 days after go-live. At day 30, we compare it with your old voicemail. If it did not answer and book better than your voicemail did, you do not pay the first month's fee. The setup terms in your quote still apply.

Your responsibilities

To get good results, you agree to:

  • give us accurate and current business information, such as your services, prices, hours, service area, emergency rules and booking rules, and tell us when it changes;
  • give us the access we need to your phone line, calendar, field software, Google Business Profile, website or store;
  • review the call summaries and reports we send, and tell us when something is wrong;
  • keep your own accounts and passwords secure;
  • follow the laws that apply to your business and your marketing.

The AI answers from the information you approve. If that information is wrong or out of date, the AI may repeat it.

Some services send texts or calls to your customers or leads. Before you give us any contact list, you confirm that:

  • you collected the contacts lawfully;
  • each person gave the consent the law requires for the messages or calls we will send, including prior opt-in consent before any automated or AI call or text;
  • you will tell us right away about anyone who opts out or asks not to be contacted.

We will not send outbound AI calls or texts to anyone without opt-in consent. Every text program includes STOP to opt out. We register business texting under the carrier rules known as A2P 10DLC, and we may hold a campaign until registration is approved.

Acceptable use

You may not use our services to:

  • send spam, or contact people who did not opt in or who opted out;
  • post fake reviews, write made-up testimonials or pose as real customers;
  • copy or clone any person's voice or likeness without their recorded consent;
  • mislead people about who they are talking to, or tell the AI to deny that it is AI;
  • break any law, including laws on telemarketing, texting, call recording, privacy and advertising;
  • harass anyone, or share content that is unlawful, hateful or infringes someone else's rights.

We may refuse or stop any campaign, script or content that breaks these rules.

AI limitations and results

AI systems can make mistakes. They can mishear a caller, misunderstand a request or give an answer that is wrong or incomplete. We test before launch, review calls closely in the first month and keep tuning after that, but we cannot promise the AI will be error-free.

  • The AI is not a replacement for emergency services. Callers with a life-safety emergency should call 911.
  • Do not rely on the AI for legal, medical or financial advice to your customers.
  • We do not guarantee any specific number of calls, bookings, leads, reviews, search rankings, AI search mentions, views or sales.

Our honest-AI rules apply on every system we build: if a caller asks whether they are talking to AI, it says yes. Calls that are recorded play a recording notice.

Voice clones and AI avatars

We only make a voice clone or AI avatar of a person who gives recorded consent. You agree to get that consent from anyone other than yourself before you ask us to clone them. The person can ask us to delete their voice or likeness data at any time, and we will stop using it.

Customer-review style ads use stock avatars or real customer footage used with permission. We never make testimonials from made-up customers.

Who owns what

What you own

You own your phone number, your customer data, your reviews, your website and domain, and the content we make for you once it is paid for. Systems we build in your own accounts stay in your accounts.

What we own

We keep ownership of our own tools, templates, scripts, workflows, know-how and general methods that we use across clients. While you are a client, you may use them as part of the services. This website and its text, design and demos belong to Red Tip Automation.

Permission to work with your materials

You give us permission to use your logo, content, information and recordings only to provide the services to you.

Third-party providers

Our services run on tools from third-party providers. These include phone and texting carriers, voice AI providers, calendar and field software, Google, Meta, Shopify, hosting providers and automation platforms. Their own terms and outages apply. We choose providers with care, but we do not control them and are not responsible for their acts, outages or changes to their products or prices.

Some providers require you to accept their terms or open an account in your name. If a provider changes or ends a product we use, we will work with you on a replacement.

Disclaimers

Except as stated in these terms or your quote, the website and services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost jobs, lost data, or any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, even if we were told they were possible;
  • our total liability for any claim about the website or services is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the event that led to the claim.

Some states do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and cover Red Tip Automation against claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that come from: the business information or contact lists you give us; messages or calls sent to contacts you supplied without the required consent; your breach of these terms; or your breach of any law.

Suspension and termination

We may pause or end services if you do not pay, if you break the acceptable use rules, if a carrier or provider requires it, or if continuing would break the law. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

If services end for any reason, the export and number-port help described above still applies. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, limitation of liability and indemnity, stay in effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, unless the law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects current clients, we will tell them before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site or services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
